Commissions

Below you will find information on commissions as well as examples of previously commissioned artworks. Please read the information below in its entirety before starting the commission process.

Commission Information

Cost

The minimum size for a commission is 12” on its shortest side and they are priced the same as non-commissioned artwork with an additional commission fee. The commission fee is an additional $50; significantly larger sizes will have fees based on the cost of base materials. (This commission fee may be waived for additional pieces if you are ordering a series of works or a gallery wall.) Size exceptions may be made if ordering works in a series, such as a gallery wall.

Commissions are first priority in the studio and are worked on in the order they are received. Shipping fees are in addition to commission fees and include insurance and tracking inside the US.

Timing

Depending on the complexity of the piece, its size, and the availability of materials, a commission will take 6-12 weeks to complete. However, I always aim to get pieces home in less time, and updates are sent regularly unless the collector requests that the piece be a surprise.

Process

Commissions are accepted for works in existing series (ie: Black Plum, shimmers, Rainbow Connection, birthstones, etc.) or we can brainstorm an idea based on existing work to fit your vision and/or space. Once we decide on a design, payment is collected, supplies are ordered, and the process begins.

Payment

Payment is collected via Paypal, Stripe, or Zelle before the commission begins. Payment can be made at the time of commission or in two installments: one at the start of the process and another at the end. Once a commission is started, if the collector changes their mind or does not respond to a final payment request within 2 weeks, the cost of the commission is non-refundable. Happily, this hasn’t happened yet!
